SLUGU overseas learning centers can cooperate with local European universities to jointly build pre-degree foundation and International Year One learning centers for study in China on European university campuses.
The curriculum delivered by the learning centers is developed against the standards of the pilot universities designated by China’s Ministry of Education for international student foundation programs, and the course content meets the academic foundation requirements of Chinese universities for admitting international students.
Each overseas learning center offers a one-year foundation stage plus a one-year International Year One stage, so students complete two years of coursework in their home country. Upon passing the course assessments and with complete documentation, students may apply to enter partner Chinese universities and enroll directly in undergraduate bachelor’s degree programs.
This model brings China’s pre-enrollment academic preparation capacity to students’ home countries: students can complete their foundation and first-year courses without first coming to China, opening a channel for European students to pursue undergraduate degrees in China. Implementation fully complies with China’s regulations on the management of international students as well as local European education regulations, and is premised on formal inter-institutional cooperation agreements.

Chinese‑Style Modernisation and China’s Economic Development It explains the connotation, features and practical pathways of Chinese‑style modernisation, reviews achievements, experience and future directions of China’s economic growth, and provides theoretical frameworks and factual evidence for international students to understand China’s economic success story.
China’s S&T Innovation and Innovation Ecosystem It presents China’s strategic science‑and‑technology layout, landmark achievements and innovation ecosystem, covering research‑and‑development institutions, industry‑university‑research collaboration and corporate‑led innovation, to illustrate the full picture of China’s innovation‑driven development.
Artificial Intelligence and Digital‑Economy Development in China Focusing on China’s AI advances and real‑world digital‑economy practices, the module addresses large models, industrial digitalisation and digital governance, enabling international students to grasp key features of tech‑driven China.
Global Expansion of Chinese Enterprises and Cross‑Cultural Talent Development Tracing the global footprint of Chinese enterprises, it analyses cross‑cultural management, international communication and China’s role in global governance.
