The SLUGU Ingmar Overseas Innovation Institute (Central and Eastern Europe) Industry Education Integration International Education Project has officially started operation

On June 14, 2026, the “SLUGU Ingmar Overseas Innovation Institute (Central and Eastern Europe) Launch Operation and Industry Education Integration International Education Project Launch Conference” was held at the Entrepreneurship College (Taicang) campus of Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University. The theme of this press conference is “New Paradigm of Industry Education Integration, Innovation for Going Global and Setting Sail Again”, bringing together more than 100 guests from the government, universities, enterprises, and media. The “the Belt and Road” enterprise overseas talent training Hungarian international master project and AIGC+AI intelligent manufacturing innovation project were simultaneously released on the site to enrich the international talent training layout.

The SLUGU International Innovation Education Center is the core project of the “the Belt and Road” Business Unit of the School of Industrialists of XJTLU Liverpool University, which was officially established in January 2024. The center is based on the national “the Belt and Road” initiative and the background of global industrial restructuring, facing the high-quality “going out” and international development needs of Chinese enterprises, relying on the comprehensive advantages of Xijiao Liverpool University in education innovation, ecological organization governance and international cooperation, combining industry leading enterprises, upstream and downstream institutions of the industrial chain and international market resources, building an innovation ecosystem of “industry, education, research, government and society”, practicing the philosophy of Xipu Innovation Education 3.0, and creating an international innovation education platform with deep integration of “university industry society”.

Focusing on the talent gap of Chinese funded enterprises’ “going global”

At present, Chinese enterprises are facing a serious shortage of complex talents in the “the Belt and Road” regions such as Central and Eastern Europe. At the press conference, the SLUGU • Ingmar Overseas Innovation Institute (Central and Eastern Europe) jointly launched by the SLUGU Innovation Center of the “the Belt and Road” (Central and Eastern Europe) Center of Xipu Industrialists College and Ingmar Group officially launched its operations. The college is guided by industrial demand and provides full chain, practical talent training services for Chinese enterprises to go global to Central and Eastern Europe.

Recruitment for the first phase of the International Education Innovation Project on Industry Education Integration

As the first landing project of the college, the “Industry Education Integration International Education Innovation Project” has been released simultaneously, targeting young students seeking international growth paths after the college entrance examination and international students with overseas employment needs. The project adopts a three-stage model of “domestic learning+overseas research+enterprise practical experience”. In the field of industry education integration and innovative education, we have integrated into the SLUGU 5+4+1 innovative curriculum system: 5 innovative courses, 4 entrepreneurship and employment platforms, and 1 international study system (Central and Eastern European overseas study, Cambridge University technology innovation study and domestic industry empowerment study), focusing on the integration and innovation model from non academic education to academic education, traditional education to industry education integration education, and local education to international education. In the first two years, I completed core courses at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University Taicang Campus, and in the second two years, I went to study professional courses at QS Top 100 universities abroad. Excellent students can be included in the talent reserve pool of Ingmar Group and given priority to employment opportunities within the group. They can also be recommended by the platform to join well-known domestic and foreign enterprises. The project will be explicitly included in the certification system of the Chinese Ministry of Education’s Study Abroad Service Center (CSC), and the academic degrees obtained will be recognized by the state.

Practice the “the Belt and Road” innovation model of integration of industry and education

Representatives of participating companies stated that this project has solved the urgent problem of “where do middle-level management talents come from” for overseas enterprises. Education observers point out that the combination of Ingmar and Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool has the dual confidence of industrial resources and academic strength in universities.
