The signing and awarding ceremony between the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center and Xi’an Qujiang Kangqiao School has been successfully completed

On September 20th, the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center signed and awarded a contract with Xi’an Qujiang Kangqiao School, and the Industry Education Integration Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Education Sharing Conference was held at Xi’an Qujiang Kangqiao School. This event focuses on the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education through the integration of industry and education in the new era, and explores new paths for empowering international talent cultivation through the integration of industry and education, in response to the new needs of international talent cultivation in the context of a century of changes. At the event, the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center officially awarded the plaque to Xi’an Qujiang Kangqiao School, and the two sides reached a strategic cooperation to promote the implementation of the SLUGU industry education integration innovation education model in Xi’an.

Geng Jian, Dean of the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center, gave a keynote speech on the integration of industry and education in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Combining the changes in the global industrial landscape with the practical logic of the integration of industry and education in the SLUGU, Geng Jian systematically analyzed the challenges faced by traditional education under the century old changes, and further introduced the innovative education model and talent cultivation path of the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center.

President Geng Jian pointed out that with the deepening of the “the Belt and Road” construction and the development of industrial globalization, the reality of international talent training is changing, and the traditional education model also needs to further respond to the actual needs of national strategy, industrial development and talent internationalization.

From the current situation of talent cultivation, traditional education still faces problems such as lagging training objectives, disconnect between teaching content and industry reality, relatively single teacher structure, and incomplete matching between evaluation system and practical ability cultivation. Therefore, the cultivation of international talents in the new era has gone beyond the scope of a single knowledge education. It is necessary to promote students to establish a global cognition, international perspective, and industrial ecological thinking, and enhance their comprehensive ability to face the real world and future industrial development.

Faced with the demand for talent cultivation in the new era, Dean Geng Jian stated that the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center relies on the integration of industry and education at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, explores an international innovation education model of “industry university research government society” collaboration, and reshapes the innovative concept of integrating global education resources with investment banking concepts to build a future oriented innovation education paradigm. Empowering the traditional education system with the integration of industry and education, creating an ecological chain innovation education model that lays the foundation for high schools, integrates industry and education, trains domestically, further studies overseas, and provides employment and entrepreneurship services in the domestic and international dual circulation markets, cultivating mentally healthy international talents with patriotism, international vision, future oriented knowledge dimensions, integrated action character of knowledge and action, and innovative practical ability. The unique “5+4+1” empowerment system of SLUGU’s industry education integration innovation education will serve as the core ecological curriculum system to comprehensively empower the teaching work of cooperative campuses.

The strategic cooperation between the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center and Xi’an Qujiang Kangqiao School marks the in-depth practice of the SLUGU industry education integration innovation education model extending to the secondary school stage. Multiple international education cooperation projects will also be further developed based on the completion of the SLUGU International Innovation Education Center cooperative campus and the proposed SLUGU International Curriculum Center. SLUGU will further leverage its comprehensive advantages in international education, industry education integration, industrial practice, and overseas resources, and work together with Kangqiao School to explore diversified practical paths for cultivating international composite talents in the new era.
